I think MANY people who went to the Royals parade figured out that it was such a madhouse, it was easier to watch the Chiefs parade on TV. (especially due to the forecasted weather).
I couldn't even make it to Union Station from the parade in 2015 because there wasn't any room.

Yeah, weather was pitch-perfect in 2015. That makes a major difference.
