It is but when you are as bad as the Jets have been you have to overpay to get good FAs to sign. Bell is a nice weapons to have for their young QB so if I'm a Jets fan Id be happy with this signing despite the price.

No.






"Rolling guarantees" is something the Steelers invented to further screw their players. It means they only give one year guaranteed in every contract. Every year you have to keep seeing if you still have a contract. In case you want to know why their players all want out.

Bell was offered 10m guaranteed, less than the franchise tag. They were going to run him into the ground for 10m and then cut his broken ass.

On the flipside, Rams are on the hook for Gurley and his arthritis now.

I don't know who I side with on this. I feel like running backs should get a different contract than other players in the new CBA if possible. They get screwed. Teams that guarantee them money get screwed. One side gets screwed basically.
