Yea our #1 pass rush yielded us the 31st defense last season.

Overall talent is a bigger concern to me. I think Ford helps us get there faster via draft picks but frankly I don't mind paying him this season under the tag either.

Well to be fair you have to whole draft to fix the secondary

If the draft can’t fix the secondary I don’t know how anyone can expect it to pick up the pass rush with ford and Houston gone

It can’t be one but not the other

You can’t get in a situation where you are lacking pass rush especially with our offense

They’re smart though hopefully so they’ll figure something out

With the coaching staff on defense I’m good with taking some chances

You could literally get 80% of that production for like 15% of the price elsewhere

I swear to god a bunch of you don't watch football, or have no idea what you're looking at when you do.

There are not safeties found every year that impact a game like Landon Collins does. What the **** position do you think Berry has played most of his career?

SS cover TE's, close off slant routes in zone coverages, and yes, play run support. All things we were laughably bad at, yet you guys think a guy that maybe gets 3 or 4 INT's all year is more impactful?

Are you all the same guys that insisted Marcus Peters is an elite corner because turnovers? You guys STILL think so?

No man. There is so much to a good defensive team that just measuring SACKS or just measuring INT's as your whole concept of a player's worth is dumb.

It's the equivalent of a slow, plodding, shitty defensive first baseman that hit 30 home runs....but hit .220. So he ****s your team several different ways, but holy shit, did you see that homer?!

It's dumb.

Yup. Collins isn’t worth big money.

Makes TOTAL sense.
And what pass rush do you have if you trade him and strike out on signing 7.5 Sack Trey Flowers?

Lets say Trey plays as well as he ever has, you'd be paying likely MORE for Trey than Dee on the Tag for very little production.

What if Trey gets hurt?

We can play what if games all day.

Sure. I don’t think it’s arguable to cox and graham are pretty well regarded pass rushers, no?

In any even, even if they let Ford walk, unless they get big seasons out of Soeaks or something Jones can’t do it all.

I seriously doubt they go into the season without making other moves so there’s not a lot of reason to freak out imo buts it’s still fun
