Casseroles?

OK, folks. Looking for some casserole type dishes that aren’t in my repertoire. Post up your favorites.

Continue building each layer like that until you reach the top of the casserole dish. The top layer should be tortilla strips, sauce, and cheese. Put in an oven at around 375 degrees until the top layer is somewhat dry and the cheese is bubbling. Take it out and allow it to cool. Top it with dollops of sour cream, sliced black olives, chunks of fresh tomato, and finely chopped green onions.
I do this sort of Mexican lasagna type casserole with some small differences. I tend to use enchilada sauce and no tortilla strips. Sometimes some Jalapenos or diced chiles in there.

I think Tooge's cheeseburger type casserole sounds interesting

What do you use to separate the layers? And I do like a cheeseburger-y casserole in the cold weather.

Info layered enchilada lasagna. Just layer with sauce, meat, and cheese. Then more tortillas.

I didn't read completely and thought you meant those crispy fried strips on top. I use small tortillas for the layers that'd be pasta normally

Oh, OK. It's pretty much the same thing but cutting them into strips seems to work really well.

Right. That's what I was describing. It was a misunderstanding.

This is the snack I typically sneak into the movie theatre but it's so delicious it rarely lasts past the previews. I'm not normally one to eat out of a ziplock bag but it's the only way to keep my pockets clean.
