Melvin Ingram - 10.5 sacks
Khalil Mack - 10.5 sacks
Von Miller - 10 sacks
Justin Houston - 9.5 sacks

Somehow that means brokedick.

Honestly though, these guys probably aren’t worth $20M a year. One year Von Miller essentially took over the playoffs and Super Bowl and now everyone thinks these guys deserve blank checks. They don’t have the impact of a QB and shouldn’t be paid like one. Houston’s best year sack-wise we didn’t even make the playoffs. None of the other AFC west pass rushers were able to get their team into the playoffs, and Houston was NOT the reason KC made it in.

Go back and watch tape of Houston from last year. He fell into a few sacks and abused shitty takles. He disappeared for 3/4 of the season and generated basically no pressure. He is not even close to as effective as miller rushing and creating pressure.

Houston is a good player. He is far from an elite pass rusher though.

So you reviewed Houston’s tape as well as those guys to make the comparison?

You’re full of shit. Pass rushers always rack up sacks against shitty OT’s, so I hate that excuse.

Lol, I have just seen on NFL.com that Houston was not even an honorable mention as for the top 10 passrushers going into next season: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...of-2018-season

I wasn't sure if he was going to be listed as I do believe that he has slowed down.

Not even close. He was 19th in sacks last year FFS.

That screams mediocre.

Frank ****ing Zombo was our pass rusher opposite Houston most of last season.
It was incredibly easy to defend Houston. Slide protection to the right and laugh at Zombo.

Why the hell do you think Houston dropped into coverage? Let’s put our thinking caps on....maybe, just maybe, our secondary sucked ass and teams knew our pass rush plan so the only way to cover up that shit and actually be formidable was to make teams guess whether Houston was going to rush or drop and where he would rush so they couldn’t immediately call protections to block him.

That’s why our pass rushed sucked last year and also why Chris Jones played edge late in the season. It’s also why we drafted Breeland Speaks.

Crazy. It's almost like the author of the article watched a lot of Chiefs games last year instead of compiling a list based on reputation.

None of these guys can do it alone.

Aside from a season in which he had a 5 sack single game performance against an atrocious Broncos OL and Brock Osweiler, Khalil Mack hovers around 10-11 sacks per season.

With Demarcus Ware retiring and Shane Ray disappointing, Von Miller's become a 10-11 sack guy.

And, hmmm, what do you know? Houston's hovering around that number as well with garbage like Frank Zombo and Hali's corpse opposite him.

Get Houston a competent pass rusher on the other side and watch him feast.
