Waygu Beef
There are probably less than 10 places in the Us that server authentic Waygu beef from Japan, the rest are crossbred versions and not the same.
Alexander’s in Cupertino is one that does and I ate there recently. They have like 8 of the breeds available including one that is raised in the mountains at high altitude and has never been above 32 degrees it’s entire life. It will cost you though as they typically cost $135 per 3oz. And $185 per 3oz for the below 32 degree version I was trying to post link to menu and photos of meat case showing the versions but since I don’t usually post here it nt let new members post links |

Now that that is over let me tell you: That you, like many others, don't know shit about Wagyu Beef. Quote:

Actually i didn’t pay anything for an ounce of beef my marking department set up open check for a customer dinner so I had the Wagyu tomahawk for free. BTW same place I get my Rolex’s although still waiting in the Hurley Haywood engraving line.
Also I never stated anything about Kobe being better or worse than Waygu just that there are few places that actually sold authentic Wagyu and where I had some. I think the difference if any in the two comes down to personal preference and mostly the chef preparing it. Regardless of which is actually better, American Kobe is still not authentic Wagyu or vice versa. I’ll try the American Kobe next time and see if it is better in my opinion |

A cow is a cow but I think that that cut is known as several smaller pieces but yeah why couldn't you ask for it. Have you looked on line for it?
