patrick mahomes will start

https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2017/...s-broncos-2017

It’s official.

Rookie first-rounder Patrick Mahomes will start for the Chiefs against the Broncos this Sunday in Denver. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid announced the move during his usual Wednesday press conference.

“Every snap that he gets is a valuable snap for him whenever he has that chance of getting in there,” Reid said. “It’s invaluable and fortunately, we’re in a situation we can do that.”

The Chiefs are locked into the No. 4 seed on the AFC side of the postseason regardless of Sunday’s game outcome.

Reid added that Alex Smith will take the scout team reps this week.

“Fortunately we have a quarterback that understands it,” Reid said. “[Smith] is having a phenomenal year. It’s an MVP-caliber year, so he understands the situation and this won’t detour off of anything he’s doing the remainder of the season.”

Though Mahomes has yet to play, Reid said the season has given him an opportunity to get to know him, and Reid confirmed Wednesday all the scouting reports checked out.

“You hear what he’s all about but until the player is there, you really don’t know, I’m saying as a person,” he said. “He’s everything everybody said he was, a great person—works hard, loves playing—all those things, we’ve seen. Obviously, he hasn’t played in the game other than the preseason, but he’s done a great job of the other stuff.”

That changes Sunday.

Pat's so pretty, von miller will have to make a saving throw against a super high charisma VS low wisdom or just be stunned and awed by Pat's sexiness and unable to make the sack

He played at Texas Tech so he is in great scrambling shape and his release time rivals Dan Marino.

There will be something revolving around a sack in that scenario, though.

You mean Von Miller and his 30 sack season he was saying he's gonna have.

When Miller sees Patrick he'll forget to tackle, Von will want to suck his dick and change his definition of sack

Let's say Mahomes has a great day and just lights up the Denver D. Our first playoff game AS is just stinking it up to high heaven and it is clear he ain't got it that day PERIOD. And we are behind anywhere from 17-21 pts by halftime or early 3rd quarter. If you are the coach knowing AS isn't coming back next year do you make that QB change to MyHomie 2 to spark the O?

The conditional probability of our reaching this outcome is quite low. If it did end up panning out though, I think seriously unlikely. As much as I'd like to see Mahomes, I don't think it's Andy's or any NFL head coach's best bet to go with the Mahomes option.

Would be intriguing though and I would love Andy that much more if he made that leap.

This literally happened in 1995. Gannon had barely played that year. He *almost* won that playoff game.

If we are down two scores in the second half and Smith hasn't put the ball in the end zone they should put in Mahomes.
