I agree, but I️ really want an 80” 4K tv. I’ve had great experiences with vizio’s but they are around $2600 right now.

As of right now it looks like Sony 900e models are the best bang for your buck.

I can’t argue what your level of happiness would be given the difference in quality, but I can assure you there is a sizable difference in picture quality between the different 4K TVs to an average person like myself. I’d guess you haven’t spent a lot of time with true 4K HDR, but I could be wrong.

Were they HDR 4K? Cmon man, for an intelligent guy you can be exhausting. You hijack a thread where the OP asks for recommendations from people on 4K TVs, and later clarifies he’s looking for info from Xbox One X/4K owners. I fit the bill, try to add value, and you storm in with a hot take that anyone who spends more than $400 on a tv is wasting money. That may be your opinion, but it doesn’t make it fact.

Secondly, people perceive things differently. My wife can't tell the difference between an 8 year old LED TV and the TCL 4K that I purchased in August to replace it. Some broadcasts look better in 4K or HDR 4K and some things just don't. The TCL I purchased is used in our kid's playroom and 99% of the content they watch is animated. My eyes tell me that it's cleaner and clearer, as are movies streamed from VUDU but some people don't even agree with that. The X Box One and Wii U don't look markedly different, either. Maybe a little "shinier". The bottom line is that once the TV of choice is in your home, it doesn't matter whether or not there's a new TV available that's 2% better than your current picture. It's a rabbit hole. |

This is for the C807 and it has edge backlighting which is superior to the C803 which is direct backlight. The C803 comes packaged with a simpler remote which lacks voice control and a 3.5mm jack for private listening. Type : LED Resolution : 4k Refresh Rate : 60 Hz The TCL C807 4k Roku TV is a decent LCD/LED TV with better than average build quality and design. It features a wider color gamut for vibrant HDR content and very low input lag for responsive gaming. Unfortunately, its blacks are not very uniform, and its picture quality deteriorates even at a slight angle. TEST RESULTS Design 9.0 Picture Quality* 7.1 Motion 6.3 Inputs 9.3 Sound Quality 6.2 Smart Features 7.9 Pros Sturdy, nicely finished design Roku smart platform is both simple and quick Cons Could be brighter for HDR * Poor black uniformity** Picture quality degrades at an angle*** *The TCL C Series C807 LED TV has an average picture quality. The high contrast ratio makes for a good dark room performance, with a high level of detail in dark scene. Unfortunately, the bad black uniformity and the lack of local dimming hurt the dark room performance in the end. When set in a bright room, the C807 performs better, since it can get fairly bright and deal decently with reflection and glare. The gray uniformity is average though and dirty screen effect is visible when watching sports like football. ***The very narrow viewing angle won't make it the best TV to watch sports event with all your friend since only people sitting right in front of the TV will have the best picture quality. Finally, HDR performance is ordinary since the TV can't really get brighter than in SDR and the lack of local dimming doest help even if it has a wide color gamut. **The black uniformity is disappointing. Most of the uniformity issues are due to the visible clouding near each corner of the screen. I't a $400 TV quite trying to sell us on the fact that a Denali is the same a Rangerover. It's not. For "cheap" people it's an adequate set. But the TV's I mentioned earlier while more expensive are better sets.

First off, what the **** is wrong with you?
Secondly, mine is 120hz. Finally, I don't give a shit what you think. You guys are acting like a $400 dollar 4K TV is the equivalent of a Standard Definition TV when compared to models double the price. They're not. Not even close. |
