What surfaces do you want it to vacuum? We were only concerned with pet hair, dirt, and dust when we looked, and we have hardwood and tile throughout so it was a bit easier to find an affordable vac. I went with the iLIFE V3s, which was only $150. It has been fantastic! After 9 months I am still surprised at how well it actually picks everything up. It does well on some low pile rugs we have too.

You're supposed to do a few complete discharge cycles before letting it operate normally when you get a new battery. I replaced mine and it's still working fine.

I bought the first Windtunnel at Costco in 2010 for $99.99. I couldn't believe it! It was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the Dyson for a fraction of the cost. I picked up another one so that we'd have one on each of the main living floors and they've lasted 7 years. I finally replaced one of them last month, which was working fine but smelled like stinky dog after so many years of vacuuming up doggie fur, for $79.99 at Costco and it's way better than the original design. |

Agreed. My $400 Dyson crapped out literally a month after the warranty was up, and had to be repaired twice while it was under warranty. My $90 Bissell works just as well going on its 3rd year.

I have a Roomba. Love it. Just have to make sure you don't have things laying on the ground like cords. Works like a charm. Senses stairs and stops, goes back. Occasionally it will get stuck on something and just stop.
I don't trust these robots. It's going to be pissed I'm making it clean my house everyday and murder me someday.

Looks like I'll either get the eufy or roomba. Reviews look solid for both.

I have a Roomba and love it. It will get stuck now and then but for the most part it does what is advertised.

Neato was also on my list but price won out and I went with the eufy, have had it about 6 months now and I'm very happy with it. It's dumb, in that it doesn't map out it's path a remember like some more expensive models but having it run every day seems to cover everything.

This is funny because I've done the same thing. It's sitting in my bedroom unopened. Keep thinking one day I will open the ****ing thing, but I keep thinking the dogs will attack it.

Went with the Eufy 11. Amazon has it for $220. EBay had a 20% off labor day coupon and the seller had another 10% off. Bought it for $160.
