And after tonight I think we can clearly close the book on the AFC threat Bengals talk.

Didn't think their defense had regressed that much since the playoffs two years ago.

Shows how much I know.

They took a big downgrade when Zimmer went to MIN.

Offensive Line is a tire fire for them.

Spiller is going to make it a TOUGH decision for the front office to keep an extra HB on the roster. Then West comes in and looks like the guy who filled in for Charles when he went down. Do they keep the extra HB, then go light at TE since we don't have much depth there? Or do they make a few call around the league on HB starved teams needing a decent backup. If they can land a mid round draft pick for West(4th or 5th),they should jump on it. I wouldn't want to be Veach on cut day.

Alex looked a tad better than expected, but I don't expect much from captain checkdown. Mahomes showed his athleticism that could make the trade compensation a STEAL. I can't wait to see him under center after a full year in the system. And Bray..... damn. The kid absolutely has the arm, but he lacks the "it" factor that separates him from Mahomes. I see him in the system a couple more seasons while the team looks for a reliable backup through the draft or free agency.

I don't want to hear the Smith doesn't throw deep. Through each of the 2 pre season games he has led the QBs in YPA

He has to show it during the season and be consistent about it. But I expect more from the same from Smith.

He has had games here where he was balling and throwing deep with success like that Colts playoff matchup (still hurts) a few years ago but he is not at all consistent with that.

I just want to know who is calling the plays. Reid or Nagy? Reid never calls deep passes

To be fair, with Alice under center, what's the point?

I've said it before, but I'll repeat it again: the dude's baseball history has provided the footwork and arm talent combination we are witnessing.

It isn't awkward footwork if you've been trained to throw that way from day 1.

Think Dirk Nowitzki, and how he evolved the PF position. Not to compare Mahomes to a HOFer, but the likeness in the way their personal style (and willingness to break from the norm) proved/could prove to benefit them in their chosen sport, is what I find interesting.

If the ball is getting where he wants it then I don't care about footwork.

Poor footwork almost caused a pick 6.
