What's the worst job you ever had?

Mine was hauling small square bales of hay. It is hot, often over 100 degrees in the barn. You have to wear a long sleeved shirt or your arms will get bloodied. And it is damn hard work. Bales of alfalfa can weigh up to 90 pounds. No way I could do it today.

I dug out a 35 by 35 8ft deep basement for a low life prick contractor once .

Told to show up for a labours job as I was on Uneployment bennifets at the time.
If I didn't take the job they cut me off, and he knew it
if I did I make $150 more a week.
First 2 days were great, moving lumber, getting supplies.
THEN.....his excavator goes down.
I show up day 3, find markers on the ground a pick, shovel, and wheelbarrow

Took me 2 weeks of 10 our days to dig the ****ing hole.

I cleaned hog barns for my cousin every Saturday morning for about a year. I was only 12 or 13 so when i would throw it out the half door some of the urine soaked hay would fly back in my face. Also every time I blew my nose the next week it was black and smelled like sh&%.

It's 2017. Any updates? I'm currently....Going through a phase.... Not a fun phase. After day 4 of the new job, I knew this was the worst job I've ever had. It's day 8. I'd rather watch paint dry.

Everyone on here is talking about physical work. Physical work doesn't bother me. It's the mentally draining work that lacks zero challenge and is beyond repetitive. It's horrid for me. Doesn't fit my personality at all.

Everyone I work with is old and obese. I'm 26. I look around during the day and shake my head. It's the exact opposite of my personality. Yet I was kinda tricked into taking the job. Nonetheless, I'm seeking a new one daily now.

I had a mindless, horrible job like that once - processing real estate property tax assessment appeals. It was utterly mindless - like licking stamps all day long. The bosses were decent enough, but the other staff people were robots, except for one woman who was a complete ****ing bitch (at least she was hot). I lasted nearly two interminable months.

My next job was terrible as well, but at least it was challenging and I learned stuff while I was getting worked to death and treated like shit.

My worst job wasn't really that bad. I've always had good jobs. Even my first one at Shoney's Big Boy as a Bus Boy was really fun.

Now, I've had contracts that sucked really bad.

One of those crap non-paying sales jobs they con young people into doing. This one was going door to door selling a service painting the house number on the curb for $10 a pop.

In a company car for minimum wage, that would be fine. No. There is no wage, you are on commission, and you are burning all fuel and putting wear and tear on your own private car. You take all the risk, do all the legwork and make nothing.

It was a brilliant scam for the sheister running it and a rotten ripoff for those too stupid or desperate to see it for what it was.

I left right after orientation. A bunch of people stayed. Sad.

I didn't consider Cutco, or Rainbow, as jobs. If I did, those would be it. For sure.

Worked in a refinery in south tx running underground pipe, which consisted of digging ditches 3 feet deep in 100+ degree heat. The area was to small to get excavation equipment in so everything had to be done by hand. The worst part was we had to wear long sleeve shirts and hard hats, so the heat was unbearable.

I've done the hay baling thing too but that wasn't terrible.

I spent about a month popping tongues out of pigs heads in a slaughterhouse. The stink of the place was bad enough, but the repetitive motion of grabbing the heads off the hooks as they went by was what made me just quit showing up. My back was in a knot.

I know this is going to sound like bullshit but in my life I have never had a shitty job. I would NEVER tolerate one.

From my first days of working at 15 years old at a recreation park handing out basketballs, paddle tennis rackets, volleyballs locking up the park at 10pm at night to working in a supermarket both in frozen food to dairy from my days in the newspaper business as a pressmen, to stocks to my own business to top salesman at many companies to today where I work part time 4-5 hours a day raising money for a charity.

I've been a lucky soul........

Same here. Never worked hard a day in my life. I don't fathom how others do it.
