"it takes at least a year to learn Reids system, alex will be better next year"
"I think he finally has it down and he has started to throw down the field his third year should be much better"
"Three years in Reids system he should have this offense down and they have been working all offseason to throw deeper balls"
"He just doesn't have the right people around him, plus his receivers always drop the balls alex throws to him"
"Alex had his testicles removed, he has been training with Himalayan monks on the art of the deep ball, his receivers will start wearing stickem on their hands during the games, and he gets a blow job from his wife before every game, this will be alexs best year yet"

Is this pretty much what Tigger and alex supporters have been saying?

There are times I wonder if even Elizabeth Smith would make such impassioned defenses of her husband.

Alex is our starter in 2017, Tigger. He has this year to prove that he's "our guy." I'd be the first to eat crow if he took us to a championship.

I have it on good authority that year 13 is generally when QB's really come into their own.

1-3 playoffs. The one playoff victory came from the Texans starting quarterback Brian Hoyer.

1 score losses to talented teams indicates we are THAT close and if the 40 million that Charles, Houston, and Maclin had been available on the field it likely makes an impact. Complain all you want about the losses, the fact is we were not going to pull out more wins without their depth. Ware's absence in the Pats game sure as hell didn't help either

I don't think Smith's play has declined too much, despite the dip in statistics. He gets no favors from Andy Reid's play calling and the team's lack of talent on offense positions.

He's not playing any differently than he has at any time during his tenure in KC. He is who he's always been - just a guy.

It's not a defense of him. It's just far past time to move on to someone who may have a chance to become a super bowl capable QB

Spare your excuses. We, I mean not you, but us Chiefs fans can enjoy Patrick Mahomes II develop along with the rest of the team that will be mostly replaced as an ongoing building of the team that will be Super Bowl bound at some point. Maybe get multiple Super Bowls and become a dynasty. At least we the fans have hope in Patrick Mahomes II and so do the coaches and team and GM and owner, but the coaches and team and fan base just do not have that hope in Alex Smith nor does the GM and owner Clark Hunt.

Talking out of your rear end make you feel better? This team has been a contender for the past year and will be for the next year to two years with Alex at the helm.
