Per 810: Chiefs tried to trade back up into 1st round

And they are looking to move up in the 2nd.

They think Dalvin Cook is the target.

I also just want to point out the Dalvin Cook shit just blows my mind anyone who watches his games can't honestly tell me he is not a top 20 player. I never pine for RB's ever but he even caught my eye and made me go god damn that guy is really good.

Or a RB that can consistently get the tough yards to put your offense into 3rd and short so you don't need to throw it long. A running game that can keep moving the sticks will give us a chance to get big YAC gains in the passing game.

Better RB is going to help but this team won't be changing any of it's OL starters.

If Ware was actually good the last half of the season, we win the playoff game. Instead we had to rely 100% on Smith which was a recipe for failure. 35 yards rushing in a playoff game is terrible.

They don't need to. Just need a healthy Ehinger to get back in instead of Fulton.. who only functions adequately as a C.

btw, I agree that Cook is amazing value for any team rd 2.

( oh, and Andy is getting predictable, so that is the other part of the problem )

I'm not sure why, but I don't think it's just gone.

I think we'll look more for RB depth than a true 3-down guy unless the value is just too strong (like Mixon with our comp 3rd or something).
I have been trying to figure out what happened to Ware..

The guy looked like he had just turned 30 for most of the season..
Just looked beat down.

He's a fine starter when he's on his A game, but I haven't seen that in a while.

I am not a fan of trading up for a RB, but Cook does look like a baller

Also keep this in mind, the better our surrounding offense cast is the sooner the chiefs are likely to move on to Mahomes. If our offense is still a trash heap, they aren't going to want to throw the youngster into the fire.

Get a CB and ILB, but stack the offense as much as you can.

I sure as hell hope that Ehringer is a good as some think.

Come to think about it, we should probably just find a way to sign Hodges so we can use more picks on other positions.

Cook's stats don't appear to "suck"... especially when you consider the competition he played against:

The offensive personnel is already FAR from a trash heap. They just need to drop less passes.. have Andy break out of his extreme dink-dunk predictability.. and stay healthy.

No arguing though. A RB like Cook would clearly ensure that the KC running back stable is covered.

The only thing that bothers me if we trade up for a RB is losing our 3rd round pick. I think Cooks would be phenomenal. If there was a way to use both 4ths instead...that would be amazing.

We could address the ILB or CB with the 3rd round pick and throw dice at the other position with the 5ths and below. I would lean CB in this case since Dorsey seems to be able to find LBs off the scrap heap that are really productive.
