I feel like the expectation for a rb here is Charles now. Ware is a good rb. He's not David johnson and that's ok

I'd be completely fine rolling with Ware and say TJ Logan
Would still think long and hard about Cook and Kamara in the 2nd and Kareem Hunt in the 3rd though |

He's not pedigreed, so you don't sit in tenterhooks pre-snap hoping he breaks something big, but go back to the game threads, and there's PLENTY of WARE BEAR chest thumping after the snap. He leveled off late last season, but he's provided plenty of excitement. Like a lot of players we have right now, it's a question of how he returns, not what he's proven capable of before. If anything, the draft selections will tell the tale. If they get aggressive for a RB, they probably think Ware is tanked. If they target other needs, they probably like his rebound.

Ware's lack of success last year is tied to Smith and his QB play. At least in my mind.

Ware is a good player but after having Charles he's a massive down grade. We need and RB that can run fast and right now we don't have one. Spiller may take a roster spot but he's hardly the answer in my book.

I can't even imagine what this offense would be like if they drafted Curtis Samuel in rd 2.

Sure, we've been spoiled over the years by Jamaal and Priest. Just think about another kick ass RB would do for our Offense.
There are a lot of people on here that have way more football smarts than I do but IMHO a franchise RB would go a long way toward offsetting AS shortcomings.

ILB is a much more pressing need.
I've been looking at RB's all night and this morning. **** it's hard position to evaluate. So many guys that are so similar and many of them look the part of an NFL RB. And with the holes that open up on the college level, it's hard to know how these guys would fair with less wiggle room. You can grab a guy in the 2nd, or you can grab a guy in the 5th that doesn't look much different.

I would love it if King made it close enough for the Chiefs to pick up but I seriously think that Seattle might grab him. They are talking about moving on from Sherman and the rest of their corners aren't great.

If the corner from wash with the torn achilles makes it to our 3rd round pick, I'd jump on it. We're ok at corner for noe, but him and Peters paired when he's healthy, yikes. |

What would people think if D'Onta is still on the board late in the 3rd?
If Jamaal was still on the roster, I'd be pulling hard to get some of that Texas mojo going. He's a big boy, and looks like he'd be primed to block. But the 411 is that he's a great runner, but an abysmal blocker.

Reid's history with RB is that he likes RBs that are really good pass catchers. Ware can catch but he doesn't look like a natural at it. West is better but he actually isn't a great runner. I would think that Reid would like to pick up a good pass catching RB more than a home run hitter type back. I'm not sure who would qualify in this draft, though.
