Also, the Chiefs missed 39 starts from their Linebacking corp and 34 starts from their D-Line, both the worst in the league. The addition of Logan along with the return of Bailey, expected improvement of RNR and Chris Jones, should go a long way in improving not only the run defense but the pass rush as well. |

Logan and Bailey will def help, but they need an ilb that can play the run and pass with as much nickel as they play.
Foster would have been nice |

Poe was pretty bad last year. The back injury appears to have ended him. It wouldn't be the first time.

With Hodges still out there, he should be a priority free agent, leaving them to address the other positions of need. |

Depends how it falls. I think ILB thins out pretty quick, pretty soon where as cb os deep. DL not as much though.

Reps could make a HUGE difference for that guy. And frankly, few teams have rotational DL with the ability that he has. No, we don't have Howard any more, but I don't see anything in Howard that RNR couldn't do and at this stage of their respective careers, RNR is a better, more advanced player than Howard was. Sure - take DL if the value is there (Wormley could be a great fit), but I don't see a reason to consider DL more pressing than ILB. And we may be just as well off getting someone like Qualls a round or two later to spell Logan as we would be getting Wormley over Cunningham or Baker. Do not sleep on our safety needs. Many people think we're actually full on safeties since we re-signed Berry and Sorenson but Parker is a very specific type of safety with no obvious replacement (Murray could be that but I think his upside is limited). Parker will be 30 in August and we can save almost $6 million by moving on from him prior to his age 31 season in '18. I'd sprint to the podium to take Baker. But he won't make it past the first 10 picks in this round (I wouldn't let him slip past the first 5). Baker's a good, good player who fits the long-term needs of this team exceptionally well.

The reality is that we have several real needs.
Tall, fast CB ILB - very strong against the run, not a liability against the pass Starting RB who is shifty Pass rusher - Houston getting hurt killed us, Hali old Our Dline is pretty pedestrian

I agree, Hodges is waiting until after the draft to see who needs him. If they could bring him in he would be an instant upgrade at a position of need. That would free them up to draft a higher caliber player somewhere else.

That's a perfect need/BPA marriage.

They really seem to be able to develop dl, and Id like to see some real run suffers late.
I'm excited. Plus I'm still pretty buzzed from the Cubans I burned last night. Although, the dirty cats ass taste I had in my mouth this morning sucked. |

Yes, but that is still far fewer needs than almost any team, on the plus side

Bah, drop this Dalvin Cook crap. If Dorsey was looking to trade back into the 1st, it wasn't for a damn RB. It would've been for Foster.
