It makes more sense for the Penguins to fall into the Wildcard and play the Atlantic rather then have to run thru the gauntlet of the Blue Jackets/Capitals/Rangers.

...which makes this playoff seeding format ridiculously stupid because it rewards teams for losing. I know the NHL wants to put an emphasis on division rivalries, but c'mon...

The Avs have officially been eliminated from playoff contention. Aww.

I'm gonna have to bandwagon a team for the playoffs. With the Avs sucking balls, I've probably watched a grand total of fewer than 10 games all season. It's kind of sad.

They could earn 30 points in their last 15 games, the rest of the teams in the West could forfeit all other games, and they'd still fall 4 points short of the playoffs.

Coincidentally, that's when Corsi was fired and Jake started working directly with Martin Brodeur.

Notice how "in control" he is of his body - before the change, he was sliding all over the place and ridiculously over-committing to pucks.
