We're gone through about 260 houses, and I suspect that I looked at 1,000+ to make the initial lists.

We're now down to the final three. Which of these houses is the most desirable home under $1 million in the U.S.?

What was the top house you remember?

Utah is definitely top five material for me, and maybe Idaho. I was also intrigued by the high-rise in Honolulu and a coastal house in Washington, neither of which even won their state.

Idaho. Don't even need to look at the houses.

Really liked Idaho but man that friggen hotel in the middle of my scenic view would just irritate me every time I looked at it and you don't know what kind of noise you're going to get from it (or light that could serve to screw up your view in the evenings).

So I went NM.

The Utah house is just a little too exposed. I'm not all about privacy or anything but at some point a wall might be desired somewhere. That view is almost fake looking it's so incredible but for that much money I'd want just a little more house and don't think the view is quite enough on it's own.

NM - Idaho - Utah in that order.

I would assume those glass walls in that Utah house have some sort of button activated privacy wall (or curtains, maybe?).

Good point. At that price range, they may have that darkening material inside them that you can activate.

I would go for the Utah house. A few stark naked strolls past the floor to ceiling windows would teach the neighbors not to look toward casa seedy cocks.

It's awful. I've been there a dozen times for work. It's depressed, nothing is there, the restaurants aren't very good, no major sports, etc. Someone earlier in the thread called it a college town - it's not. The closest 'large' city is El Paso which is only slightly less terrible. You couldn't pay me enough to live in Las Cruces or El Paso.

Okay, who wants to break the tie and pick the winner of the whole tournament?

Expound.

I like Las Cruces quite a bit. Santa Fe is a bit prettier given that it's closer to the mountains and Las Cruces can seem a little poor in parts but that's just NM for you, the whole place is broke.

Las Cruces is a nice place.

Shouldn't the finals be a head to head matchup anyway? There are 15 votes in this poll that did nothing to determine the winner. Make it Idaho v. Utah and have them battle it out.

Seems like a run-off is in order.

I pondered it, but it seems like we now have a winner. In a come from behind win, the most desirable house in America under $1 million is officially 1664 S Backlog Ln, Coeur D'Alene, ID. And it's on the market!

I'd still personally go for Utah, but I could still really go for this Idaho house. I have no quibbles with the tastes of Chiefsplanet on this.

I want to go back now and pick my top five in the whole tournament. I had some favorites that got kicked out in their intra-state heat.
