Chiefs As a ref, how can you possibly make that call?? - Page 4

Besides all the bullshit, How, as a ref, can you make that call in a playoff game. Team is trailing by 2, going for a 2pnt conversion, and you call a holding call, something both teams have been doing all game.. if youve been calling them all game, sure call it, but you werent, and havent been. How could you not see the hold did not affect the outcome of the play? By the time the "hold" even occured which was more of harrison just deciding to flail to the ground like a little bitch, the ball was WELL out of smiths hands and going to the endzone at the point of this "hold"... So again, as a ref, how can you not look at the hold, then look at Smith and see the hold wouldve not affected the outcome of the play? Its BULL SHIT to make that call in a situation like that... And btw, this is the same crew working the superbowl.

The call was likely irrelevant. Does anyone seriously think Ben wasn't going right down the field for a GW FG given the state of our pass rush?

They'd have had enough time to run it some as well. So it's not like we could key on pass-only.

But maybe we get a lucky turnover or stop. The crowd would have been pumped and the D re-energized. ****n ref man.

It wasn't a "selective" call. It was a good call. As was the call on the hit against Conley.

The fact the Chiefs got that call was probably the only reason they scored a TD at all, given that it was about to be 4th and 9 without it.

So you can't be mad at the refs for calling it both ways. Nobody got ****ed. That's just ball.

The Chiefs lost the game because the offense spent 3/4 of the game with it's thumb up it's ass, not because of a call at the end.

Demetrius Harris squib return was longer than any of our offensive plays tonight.

I just remember back in 2006 watching the Steelers - Seahawks Super Bowl, back when the Seahawks were basically nobodies. That game seemed straight up rigged, way more blatant than anything in this one (perhaps they've just gotten more subtle over the years, haha). I stopped watching the NFL completely for a few years after that. May have to do that again.

So what's your excuse for the noncall on Kelce when the guy is draped on him like a spider monkey and the ball was 6 feet away? Another "awe shucks they weren't looking" excuse? And Ford getting raped? Same thing, awe shucks? Yeah, "selective" is spot ****ing on pal!

You can't have it both ways, bub.

The refs made a correct call to put the Chiefs in position to score. Steelers fans probably whined about it.

They then made another correct call to take away a 2 point conversion. Chiefs fans whined about it.

That didn't decide the game. The Chiefs could have still done lots of things to win it, including:

1. Converting on the next play.
2. Stopping the Steelers.
3. Playing some football between the first drive and the last one.
4. Not taking half the ****ing quarter to score a TD, thereby leaving them more time to get the ball back.

The Chiefs lost to what is probably the best or second best team in the NFL.

There's no shame in that. Blaming it on the refs is a loser's mentality.

It was a ****ing hold. Clear as day. If you want to say the refs didn't call holds on the Pitt O line that is fine. It was a ****ing hold. Fisher needs to learn to punch out. Too often he lets defenders get in his chest and that means one of two things.... Sacks, or holding penalties. This is stuff that is taught to OL in grade school, yet Fisher doesn't do it.

That's exactly what we're saying. While it might have been a hold, so too was the hold on Ford, and the DPI on Kelce, yet only one was called. It's NOT Fisher's hold, it's Fisher's hold when the others weren't called.

It's the NFL, selective application of the rules.
