The labrum might be the only part of my shoulders that is still in decent shape. (maybe)
Both of mine sound like a cement mixer grinding away - either rotating at the joint, or even just rotating my forearms. Good times. I've lived with it getting progressively worse for 25 years. I've heard such horror stories about shoulder surgeries, I'll consider getting them done when I literally can't use my arms any longer. Good luck, man. |

That doesn't sound very pleasant. Dang.
Hope it heals quick and you are on good pain meds and get through this. |

No drugs yet. It's a general ache that goes from a 2 or a 3 to a 7 or an 8 in a heartbeat if I move wrong. The losing range of motion is more of a worry at this point. |

Welcome to my life. Tore it high school football. Didn't get it fixed then. Just took pain pills. Rehurt it two years later reaching for the remote. Did the physical therapy route. Probably should have done the surgery. My cousin tore his in college wrestling, he did the surgery. Good as new for him. Me I can tell when the weather is going to change now. Any lifting or above the head activities can have a sore shoulder and pain.

The thing I've read about the surgery says it's pretty successful when you get it as a young athlete. When you are an old couch potato like me, it isn't always as successful. It feels stupid to have sudden pain when simply putting on or taking off a shirt. |
