Do you live in a bubble?
Are you insulated from the working class's mainstream culture in thought and history? Let's see who we have here.
I got a 45, which seems about right in the summary. I figured my score would be higher given where I grew up. If I changed one answer about my father's job, it would rise to 52 (he was a manager, but in very blue collar jobs). However, I answered the questions strictly. http://www.pbs.org/newshour/making-s...bble-a-quiz-2/ |

On the other hand Mr. Donger probably would score from 0-5 and I wouldn't be surprised. |

I've never purchased a pickup but I've owned several SUV's going back 20 years. I fished lakes for more than a decade when I was a kid and I've been deep sea fishing many, many times but I've done neither in the past five years. I've worked in warehouses but only as summer jobs. I'm familiar with all of the TV shows but it's difficult to get into a series, especially with adult themes, with kids under 10 in the house. I know of of those movies but I've seen most on cable channels, Netflix or Amazon. |

Most of my high score came from me finishing tech school and making crap money while living in Orlando for 8 years. I moved there with like 500 bucks at 23 and had shit. My friends and roommates had shit. But it was honestly the best time in my life. We had no cable, no internet, but we all got together every night to pool our food and beer and weed. We would cook dinner and play cards and board games. It was a blast. We where we'll below the poverty line but some times you didn't have anything to contribute but it was cool. You made it up the next week. That is America. We are all spread across the country now and all very successful in what we where pursuing at the time. I lived off of $7 dollars a week, plus "Spiffs" for selling certain guitars, basses or whatever "competition" of the day the manager set, for three months. Things got better as time progressed over that first year but my roommate and I are still best of friends (even though we live in different Cali cities) and it's always fun to reminisce about the tough times, which in hindsight, were a total blast. We made due with what we had and had some of the best times of our lives. |
