From my understanding, they cut an hour out of this movie. Those final cuts created a confusing first 30minutes or so for non warcraft fans, as it takes you to many places and introduces you to a lot of characters very quickly. A lot of the scenes that helped to develop these characters and settings were essentially stripped from the movie. Once it settles in, it gets good.

Bad acting isn't a problem for the international market. The voice actors they hire to dub it probably don't suck any worse than they do for any other film.

One thing I don't understand though is why the guys in the movie didn't have to keep swapping out their gear and weapons with better stuff over and over.

Wasn't interested in this other than Duncan Jones directing. Hopefully he got paid enough to do whatever he wants for his next movie.

If you played WoW it's worth the ticket price. If you didn't you will not understand or like it.
I played from vanilla until about 3 years ago. I got my parents into the game about 7 years ago. We went tonight after some drinks and dinner and we had a blast. First thing we all said... "Awesome, but if you didn't play it would not make sense." Good video game movie. Maybe one of the best. I am 34 and my parents are in there 60's, my dad is 70 this year. He bought the tickets 2 weeks ago. Lmao |

I actually liked it a lot, and I know next to nothing about the Warcraft world.
I liked that that it was unapologetically over the top pure fantasy. The use of magic and the all the fight scenes were great. I can understand people having a problem with some of the actors and dialogue. It took some getting used to. Maybe some miscasting issues? For instance , Ben Foster seems far to modern to pull off the medieval guardian type. But overall, a lot better than I was expecting

It's on in a theater near me. Haven't been to the movies in a while. I think I'll give it a shot.

I saw it tonight, I enjoyed it. I did get the oooh and aaah feelings when they showed Ironforge and Dalaran. I'd like them to make a sequel, call it World of Warcraft, to do some solid world building. I want to see some Tauren Druids in there. Then make a sequel for the expansions. WOW: Burning Crusade, WOW: Wrath of the Lich King, WOW: Mists of Pandaria. Skip WoD because it sucked ass.
