Going to be interesting to see who lines up at LG with the first team. I know it doesn't mean much this early, but still curious.

He's got seniority, so this isn't that surprising.

He's been on the roster 1 more year than Murray.

Exactly my point. We have three young guys in an open competition. It shouldn't surprise that the one with the most "experience" is starting out as the backup.

I guarantee you Murray ends up the #2, Hogan the #3, and Bray gets cut.

Bray missed the whole year last year, and they gave him an extension still. I think it says a lot that they are giving him the early nod for that position.

The guard spots are also very intriguing. We HAVE to find guys who can consistently be 'OK' or better.

His extension includes zero guaranteed money, zero signing bonus and is a Vet Min contract in which he won't be paid a cent unless he's on the 53.

As for the "early nod", I think they're giving him enough rope to hang himself.

Otherwise, the Chiefs wouldn't have invested a 5th in Hogan.

I'm also starting to gain this gut feeling that Houston is going to play week 1.

I know a lot of people have been saying that and I haven't exactly rejected the possibility, but there's just something different about his whole injury and recovery. I mean, who has ever seen a guy doing what he was doing in that video from 7 weeks post-surgery? And then I think about guys like Chris Harris and Von Miller who tore their ACLs at similar time periods, and they didn't miss a game.

I don't want to set expectations too high, but knowing the things Dorsey has said, and that he is in KC and working right now, my expectations are that he makes it back for every game.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, I think they would like to see him take advantage of the opportunity. They are giving him the chance to do that.

The rest is up to him.
