Aaron Murray as a Potential Romo Backup?
Ran across this article and thought I'd post it for your reading pleasure. Someone sure seems to like the potential upside of Mr Murray....

That said, the writer is undervaluing him. If Murray has the ability to step in and cover for Smith if need be, and win games that will count against getting to the play offs or NOT getting to the play offs, he's worth more than a 3rd round pick. But, at this point, it's an unknown. |

I don't think there's a single QB on this roster worth a 3rd round pick.

How?
There's only one QB on this team thats been active during the regular season. That one being Alex Smith, who's sitting in the 3rd row of an SUV, not driving it. If I'm an opposing NFL GM am I looking at Alex's bottom of the barrel passing game and thinking, "Damn I want that!" or am I looking at the draft and taking a chance on ANYONE before round 3?... I'm looking at the draft. But thats just me. |

The Chiefs, in fairness, aren't the only risk-averse franchise when it comes to the position. The college game isn't really churning out pro-level guys en-masse', and coaches are far more likely to stick with known quantities. |

Buffalo, Los Angeles, NY Jets, Eagles, Denver and if they hadn't traded him, SF. |

I'd just nod and wave. He has no value in this discussion.

And be without a starting NFL QB when this team has very good sized window?
Again, pure stupidity. Houston just gave a guy with 7 NFL starts $72 million but Alex Smith isn't worth a first? You're too ****ing stupid to even sit at the table in this discussion. Go back to the kiddie table. |
