Then you're pretty much punting any sort of chance of contending for a championship in 2016.
But hey. They won a playoff game because they faced a team with no quarterback in the first round. That's progress right? There's no need to aspire for better.

Dearest Pest, I am not a ****ing idiot. An idiot perhaps, but not a ****ing one.
And I didn't say I'd low ball everyone either. Pay attention. No way do I pay 9-10M for a safety....unless he's the second coming, and, although some may say he rose from the dead, Berry ain't the second coming. I'd like to have DJ back and would offer a fair contract. I think Sean Smith is a second tier CB, so i'd offer accordingly. Yeah, I wouldn't overpay for Tamba or DeVito, but I think a lower offer could secure their services for a year. If not, adios. I think Abdullah is decent and would offer decent money. Fleming is a nice filler guy, so I'd make an offer there too - again, he's not good enough to be demanding much and if he did, Adios. How is that low balling everyone? In my view, it's being prudent. Overpaying guys is not.....and that's what you can end up doing if you fall in love with your own guys. |

That's a helluva list of talent to not have on the field when you type it out like that. The Chiefs lost by 7 and there's more than 7 pts worth per game on that list. More like 10-13 pts worth on that list.

The contracts we would give to Howard, Allen and Berry would be paying for the prime of their careers.

Also you just know a few out of the players like Ford, LDT, Conley, Nunez-Roches, Williams, O'Shaughnessy, and Nelson will develop into valuable pieces.

Look at how much better the OL got over the season with the emergence of LDT, Morse, Fisher, Allen and Fulton. All rookie contracts.
That's what you want every year. And that's what we should expect from Ford, Conley and Nelson along with our early picks going into next season. |

BJ Kissel@ChiefsReporter-I asked @CFD22 about which DL have been standing out to him at the @seniorbowl.
"It's almost a question of who's not," he said. Sums it up. Bye Jaye Howard |
