Not very healthy, but I pick my moments to balance it out. For 40+ years of age, I'm in good shape. Most of the time, I think of eating as just something you got to do 3x a day.

It should be "healthily," should it not?

I eat healthy meaning I eat a variety of fruits and vegetables and try to make more of them the richly colored ones. I eat meat but I try not to eat too much processed foods like white flour and rice. I use no food with transfats. I do, however, choose my poisons and limit them to occasions. But most any dish or snack you like can be made healthier. Quality ingredients matter.
Most of my food is fresh and not packaged. That stuff will give you lots of problems later in life and make you age faster and look older than you really are. If you fill up with lots of fruits and vegetables you'll have a lot less problems. I also drink 70 ounces of spring water throughout the day as my main drink. I fast one day a week. |

I eat what I want but stay under 1800-2000 calories almost everyday which means I eat somewhat healthy.
I exercise so I can eat what I want. Clicked breatharian response because it is awesome. |

As a general rule a person must consume about 15 calories per pound of weight to maintain that weight. The 2000 calorie per day diet is based on a woman that weighs about 130 pounds. I assume you weigh 125 lbs.

I'm pretty consistent. |

Thyroid issues. I haven't gotten the medicine to the right level. If I eat more than 2000 calories in a day then I put on weight.

3k calories a day, high protein, and a mix of veggies/fruit. A mixed bag.

I do not count calories but I avoid high fructose corn syrup whenever possible, and I try to keep my sodium intake down, although it was a bit low in my blood tests a few times, so the doc told me to use salt more. I am more concerned with high blood sugar than most anything else, and with my chemo, it tends to elevate the glucose in my blood. But, I still have my treats. I can't go vegan or vegetarian because I like to look forward to eating certain things, and those things are generally meat-based.
I am not a junk food junkie but I will have ice cream in the warmer months, I do like a pizza every two or three weeks, I rarely go to a fast food place for burgers, and I don't wolf down a bag of chips every time a game is on. Healthy eating does not have to be boring eating or eating things that really don't taste so good. I like fresh fruits and vegetables and I think salads are great with dinner. I could eat a more healthy diet, but I sure could eat a lot worse than I do. My docs keep telling to put on more weight, but I think I am about 7 or 8 lbs. heavier than I want to be. I have one pair of jeans that used to be snug but now I almost need some pliers to button the damned things. I don't want to beat cancer and develop diabetes! |

I chose lunch box because I only get a 30 minute lunch break at work even though we can snack throughout the shift on my own unit. Working 12,14 or 16 hour days 6 days a week I don't feel like cooking that much but I like cooking some things.
I'd like to eat healthy but I haven't embraced that lifestyle as much as I should. It seams to cost more to eat diet and healthy food that's good for you so that doesn't even make since to me. |
