An Extremely Winnable Game Pissed Away

1) Bob Sutton made no adjustments at all and his original gameplan was unimaginably idiotic. Anyone with a pulse would know that NE has no desire to run the ball, but Sutton routinely blitzed and brought in loaded fronts against a team that want to spread the ball around with short, quick throws. He should have used Poe or Howard at NT with seven DBs and Hali, DJ, and Houston to either cover or rush from a stand up position. Terrible, terrible job.

2) Knile Davis' fumble. At least a ten point swing. He was playing his ass off until he turned back in to the pumpkin **** he'd been for most of his career. **** him to death

3) Zach Fulton got his ass kicked in pass pro today, as did Reid. There was consistent pressure up the middle, and the line missed delayed blitzes that good protection calls would have caught.

4) Abdullah was abused, especially in the second half

5) The five-minute two minute offense was one of the most embarrassing displays I've seen in years. That was Benny Hill shit

6) The Patriots are the luckiest ****s alive. We dropped multiple potential picks, and the deflection on the clinching first down just says it all. Someone put cholera in their drinking water.

Agree on all counts Hamas. ThaVirus too. Frustrating. Pats are good and look to be headed to the Super Bowl but damn it, it sucks to lose a winnable playoff game.

Fantastic.

He would have had a TD if the NE DB wouldn't have tackled him.

It is still better odds than having to rely on recovering an onsides kick which the Chiefs haven't done since 2009.

If the Chiefs ran a legit hurry up offense on the previous drive they wouldn't have been in a position where they essentially had to rely on recovering an onsides kick.

With 3 timeouts, I still don't get the onside kick.

Kick it deep, hope the defense makes something happen.

Under 2 minutes and with how ne had played offensively, I think you have to try and steal a possession

I said the same thing.

My father said "if you give it to Brady, the game is over".

I would have kicked it deep.

Gronk pushed off on one of them touchdowns. He pushed the shit out of Smith. The human body does not more the way smiths did if he was not pushed.

Yeah, we can definitely beat that team, but we needed to play a far better game than that to do so. Not even mentioning the defense, the turnover was a killer, as was the awful red zone execution (although that's nothing new for this team). This version of the Patriots is not some unbeatable dynamo, though, and it would be no surprise if they lost next week.

Because you have the chance of a recovery and the chance of a stop.

If you kick it deep, you only have the chance of a stop. Doesn't matter if you stop them at the 10 or the 50.

The Chiefs absolutely destroyed themselves today. "Pissed away a winnable game" is definitely the way to put it. No points on a drive that starts on your opponents 35? WTF. Three easy dropped INTs, two of which likely go back for 6. Piss poor defensive game plan really, but the Chiefs had those opportunities to make plays they just didn't make.

Hats off to the NE defense who played out of their minds today. If they play like that the rest of the year, nobody is beating them. Also, hats off to the NE offensive line, who held on every play with reckless abandon to keep the Chiefs top notch pass rush from even generating a meaningful pressure.

Brady and the Pats got their usual calls at home, but I didn't think it was any more egregious than normal. Certainly wasn't the difference in the game.

To win a game in New England, the team must play flawlessly.

The Chiefs were far from flawless.

Brian Parker missed a key block that would have sprung West.

No Houston resulted in very little pass rush. Hali was ineffective (when he wasn't being held) and Ford applied most of the pressure today. Had a healthy Houston played opposite him, the results would have been different.

Two dropped interceptions.

Poor offensive line play. Fulton, Reid and Stephenson are backups for a reason. I don't understand why the Chiefs have had so many problems with keeping offensive lineman healthy under Reid and Dorsey, but something needs to change and they need to add better depth.

And finally, I'm not generally one to bag on the refs, because they're not perfect, but good ****ing grief! No Roughing the Passer on Alex Smith? No Grounding on Brady? No Holding on Hali? Those were Pop Warner refs out there.

Sadly, the Chiefs still could have won this game but I'm afraid the injury bug just hit too hard this season.

And lastly, **** Tom Brady, **** Boston and **** the Patriots fans. I cannot WAIT until Brady either retires or is sent into retirement from a hit because that city won't win SHIT for 2 decades or more afterwards.

**** them up their stupid, entitled asses.
Also Amiendola should've been ejected for that cheap shot.

No, I "get it" but I thought it was the wrong decision then and I think it's the wrong decision now.

Giving Brady the ball on the 50 instead of the 20 is dumb, especially when onside kicks rarely, if ever, are recovered by kicking team.

Was thinking this as well.. but to be honest.. this obvious lack of faith in the defense to generate a stop? well deserved.
