Halfway point of 2015 season, who is the best team in the NFL?

We've about reached the halfway point. 11 of the 32 NFL teams have a winning record... so this is going to be a small list. Vote away. Poll coming.

New England (8-0)
Cincinnati (8-0)
Carolina (8-0)
Denver (7-1)
Green Bay (6-2)
Minnesota (6-2)
Arizona (6-2)
Atlanta (6-3)

What's saving baseball in the new era is competitive parity. And it's because baseball cares about the integrity of the game. Football cares about $'s and fantasy football/gamblers.

The MLB can flip that any day now. Get rid of defensive shifts, and you'll see big market teams like the Yankees / Red Sox start buying championships again.

I think New England is riding their overall reputation in this poll. Carolina's body of work is most impressive too me. They're the best for my money.

When will you learn that that won't matter?

Crabtree is looking pretty good again, by the way.

I'll say it a million times.

Giving Alex Smith elite receivers is like giving a Lamborghini to Mr. Magoo.

Amazing there are people who think Alex Smith's problem is not having receivers.

The Mr. Magoo that drives a Lamborghini is still better than the Mr. Magoo that drives the Toyota Corolla. So yeah, I'll take any and all elite WRs we can get. Even with Alex Smith.

What good is a Lamborghini if you can't drive it.

Exactly. Common sense.

Which explains why some here don't get it...

Spend that money elsewhere. Literally spending that money on ANY position not named WR would be more prudent than stacking the WR corps with Alex Smith.

Depends on what script Vincent Kennedy Goodell wants to follow. Gifting Manning a ring on bogus calls Elway style or Brady some how looking for revenge after he blatantly lied and cheated

Yeah, if you have an unlimited budget but what if you had to get a Lamborghini while also paying off an expensive house (our defense)? What if you built a car as good as a Lamborghini and give it to a guy who refused to drive it 25 mph?

I'd love to have great WRs on this team. But as long as we're talking Alex Smith... the only way you win with him is to build around his weaknesses, not give him more weapons he won't use. Defense, running game, tight ends. WRs = Lamborghini. QB = Mr. Magoo.
