We're not going 11-5, although I can truly say I hope I am wrong.

People who study the situation and make their living from it say 8-8 or9-7 is the most likely....

Followed by 10-6 & 7-9

So what you don't seem to realize is 7-9 is actually mathematically more likely than 11-5.....

Also what you don't seem to realize is a solid team can still finish 8-8 in the nfl

I'm not trying to be Debbie downer but your logic is faulty....simply think about it...2014 chiefs were better than the 2013 chiefs right? Well the 2014 chiefs won TWO less games.....and missed the playoffs! Yet both of us agree they were a better club.
I disagree with the premise that the Chiefs were better in '14 than they were in '13.

The WRs were worse, and the O-line was even worse than the WRs.

They lost DeVito and DJ in the first game, and Berry later in the season.

The '14 team was much worse.

I bow to your football knowledge....respectfully....

I had the feeling 2014 while weaker in some spots was a better team, facing much tougher opposition.

That's just casual observation , admittedly. Which is why I'm willing to take another look or reassess my opinion.

I think my main point stands though, which is...you could win less games in a season than the prior one, and still be a better team.
