I seriously need to know how in the **** Vegas/PECOTA projected a team that went to game 7 of the WS and won 89 regular season games with an offense that was as anemic as any offense in baseball to regress so much? I knew it was awful then, I still know it's awful now ... and it makes me wonder if these "experts" really watch the Royals, or if they just rely on a bunch of ****ing number bullshit like our board moron PB? I mean, this Royals season is surprising to me in no way, shape or form other than the fact Ventura/Duffy have been mediocre at best.

Did anyone predict PB surpassing all previously known levels of stupidity and moronic behavior?

Well to be fair, he did only predict 93 wins. So unless we actually go on a losing streak (something we really haven't done this year) He'll be on the low side also. Just not as low as some of us had predicted. And with that, I'll bump mine.

I completley misjudged the division. I thought it was going to be a dog fight to 88-90 wins between us, Detroit, and Cleveland.

Middle infielders tend to be smaller cause teams will sacrifice some hitting for defense there.

True. I predicted 94 in repository #1 on opening day, which, still on the low side.

Of course, you said our players would all be way better after being in the playoffs. But who got better? Hos and Cain. Nobody else has better numbers outside Mooses April.

We got better because DM plugged every hole last year with upgrades. (And our division is poor). I give him + his scouts a lot of credit.

I predicted 87-75.

That was based on several factors:

1. I wasn't convinced that our starting pitching would hold up, and that Volquez would look closer to a #3/4 vs a #2/3. I was wrong

2. I strongly disliked the Rios and Morales deals. I thought both would be slugs - I was half right

3. I thought the bullpen would regress slightly back to something human. They've proven me wrong on that as well.

4. Maybe most important, I thought CLE/DET/CHI would all be extremely competitive, and make our Division the toughest in MLB. That was a colossal misjudge. All 3 teams have been meh to shit

While the central isn't as good as expected, some of it is due to the royals curb stomping everyone

A small portion of that is true, but most of it is due to the fact that the other teams are just extremely mediocre.

Cleveland, the preseason ESPN fave to win the Central is 18-31 against their Divisional Foes. That's garbage. Detroit is 30-20 against the Central, but they can't beat anybody else. Chicago is 20-31 in the Central and has been the definition of mediocre all season. It's just a shit Division being led by the 2nd best team in Baseball. Now, they aren't the worst Division in baseball. That illustrious title belongs to the NL East.

91-71 was also my prediction. I don't think we'll get to 100+, but 97-98 seems likely.
