It was MU night?

Well, shit, had I known I would have already expected the loss. No coincidence that it was the first truly uncomfortably hot night at the K too.

Okay, but the playoffs don't start today. To be honest, I don't expect this Houston team to make the playoffs.

Well they certainly took a hit with Springer out, but Keuchel and Kazmir are probably as good as any 1-2 punch in the AL right now. And they mash the ball.

Somebody upthread made a good point about them striking out a lot... they're the type of 'all or nothing' team that could get waxed in the playoffs. But they definitely have some strengths other teams don't have.

Why do the Royals always have a hard time beating the Astro's?

You're right, they don't start today. But the Stros have been contending all season and have improved their team by signing a good starting LH pitcher. Smart money says they'll further improve when they get healthy. They don't hit for average but they do hit for power, have good starting and relief pitching, and they play aggressive baseball. They know what they are and use their assets well. They're in very good shape for a playoff run when you look at all teams in contention and consider that they own a winning record against most other contenders and also within their division. To be honest, if you cant see that, it's ignorance on your part or you just don't want to.

I never said they wouldn't be in the race and completely fall off the map, but I think they just miss out on a wild card opportunity in my opinion. I don't like their pitching down the stretch as much as most do. But hey, if I'm wrong then I'm wrong. Haha it's not like it hasn't happened before.
