One thing about being offered a job, EVERYTHING after that is negotiable. Perks, pay, bonus, vacation, EVERYTHING.

Needless to say, that's why they are my "former" company. What profession are you in? |

Pretty much this.
I am to the point now where I only work on deals I want to work on. It's a good feeling, but you don't get there without a lot of gut-wrenching, sleepless months, and aging yourself quicker than you want. I had a 10-yr clip where the stress seemed non-stop. I'm happy to be where I am at today, and my Family seems to like me better as well

My last "job" did that-and I took it anyway. It was a nightmare from the start. Combative work situation, ignorant bitch as a boss, no training, no breaks-I dreaded going to work. There are lots of jobs out there- that 10 percent makes a huge difference over the years-raises, bonuses ect. Good luck at whatever you decide. |

I promise you, Pete would not be unhappy with this job.
HR is kinda funny though; I should know, it took me almost 2 years and interviewing for 3 different positions here before everything worked out. I'll probably work here until I die. |

You always list higher than what you are willing to accept. No negotiations needed that way.

You also seemed like you asked so often about pay and when I interview people, that turns me off the most. You should know the market, the skills you possess, and the pay you deserve. If you can't do that, you need to work on those three things and go in with confidence and sell yourself.
