Alex Smith definitely understands the west-coast offense better than Brees.
Look at this video. Look how Brees is clearly hesitant and doesn't demonstrate the in-depth understanding of WC terminology. Doesn't even look at the snag concept called. Alex would have thrown the flat off snag better than you could ever believe, boys! Much safer and efficient than the low-percentage "Y-Fade".

You have $#it WR's, $3it O line, and the combo of Alex being able to escape and the Alex that refuses to throw the ball away and prefers sacks. Alex eats sacks. Always has. They put him in a bad position from year one. The marriage never made sense. Alex's best years were behind an all star O line, with a great run-first attack, super talented TE, and a dominating defense. We traded for him and let our line go to $#it, gave him no TE, became a pass-first team, and often forgot we had a running game. Why would you trade for a QB knowing what he's good at and what he's not and put him in a position where his weaknesses are accentuated?...

He just needs a better offensive line, better receivers, better TEs, a better defense, and better coaching. Chiefs fix those things and Alex will deliver SB after SB.

Fulton has hope. I'm not sure why Stephenson wasn't out there or what happened to him but hopefully there's a return.
The rest is a dumpster fire. Fisher is an expensive dumpster fire...

Fixed because if the OL is fixed, Alex will throw for 5,000 yards whilst Brees declines.

The absolute best you can get out of a comp pick is the dirty, ass end of the 3rd round.
Basically a 4th round pick. You don't replace quality talent with ****ing 4th round (at best) or worse picks...

Chiefs should seriously consider trading their first for all of the picks in the 6th round and using 2-5 on OL.
