Exactly the point. They had Manning and got nothing with great WR's. According this Donkey lover Hartline is useless unless you have a badass opposite him. Even Smith can run a short passing attack with decent personnel. So far we have not had that.

Only on CP can someone claim that a pair of WR's combining for over 3,000 yards is "getting nothing".

I'd like to see Hartline here on a 3 year deal, he's a solid player. A nice #2 type. Get's open, catches the ball. Not a wow you guy, but that's what the Chiefs have to get in the draft.

no thanks, already plenty of "just a guy" receivers already on the roster, especially if Avant comes back who is likely to be cheaper anyway

I'd agree if the Chiefs even had "just a guy" level receivers. They had a bunch of "just should not be in the NFL" level receivers. And Hartline has shown he's better than "just a guy."

I'd be shocked if any of the receivers we release get signed except Bowe. Avery might get a vet min deal but even that's not a sure. |

You can get a Hartline type wr in this draft, rounds 2 or 3 for about a tenth of the price Hartline would cost. Pass

It needs talent And play making ability. If you're gonna overpay a vet and then roll with rookies, overpay a vet that can make a difference. Not hartline. Avant is the same. Unless it's vet min, pass. Just go young there and play for the future. |

I'll take a guy that can get open and make catches consistently. The offense lacked that entirely last year. This team is going to have to sign a couple of veterans, especially if they ditch Bowe.

Why do you need veterans? I think that whole mantra is overblown

Vets don't have a massive learning curve. Hartline would give us way better ability than we have now for this offnese.
