McDonald's Finally Selling Bottles of Big Mac Secret Sauce...

Stupid is as stupid does...

Here's the article:

http://www.adweek.com/adfreak/mcdona...g-18000-162771

Here's the deconstructed recipe that's been around for years and is exactly like the real thing:

Big Mac Sauce

1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons French dressing
4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
1 tablespoon finely minced white onion
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt

1. Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl. Stir well.

2. Place sauce in a covered container and refrigerate for several hours, or overnight, so that the flavors blend. Stir the sauce a couple of times as it chills.

Makes about 3/4 cup.

It's really not that labor intensive.

Guac is Wholly Gaucamole, not prepared from scratch.

The marinade, I just use vacuum seal bag. Pull patty out of freezer, plunk it and marinade into bag, seal it, and let it sit until the burger has thawed.

Bacon cooks in the microwave.

Brioche in the toaster.

Couple slices off the red onion [keep one wrapped in saran in fridge at all times]

Dust cajun spice from shaker

Crumble cheese off block.

Aside from thawing the burger, start to finish, I have my burger prepared faster than I can cook a helping of fries. Probably 10 minutes from walking into kitchen to sitting down to eat.

It's for charity in Australia.

Made news because the limited edition bottles are re-selling for $$$ on ebay.

$18K a bottle IIRC.

toasted brioche

Got to the point I prefer what I make at home to anything I've had at a restaurant in a long time.

The brioche type bun on the new QP w/ cheese/deluxe is actually really decent, the overall burger is decent as well (believe it or not) - reminds me of that MC DLT. Not too bad at all, for where it's from - McDonalds is working on their quality (to a degree, anyway.)

I'm good for one about three or four times per year - I like them when they're fresh. The combo of ingredients really work well - even the sesame seeds help w/ that concoction.

I had a really good burger last night called the Cletus.

Burger topped with:
Fried Green Tomato
Smoked Pimento Cheese
Tomato Jam

The tomato jam really set it off.
