The worst thing family does on holidays...

Just interested in things family, in-laws, friends do to meals on Thanksgiving holidays?

Is it packaged gravy mix? Boxed stuffing? Burned turkey?

I've got a few... my father-in-law goes all out. From scratch everything. Except he throws the turkey drippings down the sink and makes McCormick's packaged gravy.

But that's not even the worst. He microwaves his turkey. Not even kidding. It's horrifying. But to be fair, it doesn't taste as bad as it sounds.

What drives me nuts is when we go OUT to eat.

We ordered appetizers last night. Decided to get wings.

OF COURSE THEY ORDER THE BONELESS WINGS WHICH ARE ****ING SPHERES OF CHICKEN LIKE SUBSTANCE.

A new low: my dummy BIL and his new girlfriend brought their mini pig and let it run around while everyone was eating. Literally as everyone was pigging out out, that stupid pig was rooting around everyone's feet under the table.

Dogs are part of our family and are welcome. Problem is of my three I only trust one to not be a nuisance. My pointer is too easily wound up, and my youngest is still a puppy terrorist. Not sure how the family would react to a pig, unless it was already cooked.

Let me win this thread. I had 34 people for dinner. Everyone contributed we had 2 turkeys and 2 hams and massive amounts of trimmings. After everyone left I realized they took the leftovers. I have a pound of turkey oyster stuffing, and cranberries. No ham no spuds no gravy no mac and cheese no corn. Leftovers are my favourite part of thanksgiving.

If someone ever brings a pig into my home, it had better have a "ham" stamp on the package it's in....or bacon or chops.

my brother in law will receive some $90 t shirt; try it on, strut a bit. go to the bathroom mirror about 5 times. then decide it's about 1/4 size too small or too big.

Good Bump.

Every Christmas when I was young my Dad would whip out the slide projector and have the show. We all hated it. It eventually faded and nobody cared. Fast forward to tonight. The slide show is back! I am excited. I haven't seen these slides in 20 years.

Its gonna be an awkward Christmas this year.
One family member is splitting from her husband. Tonight, we will all be at one house where she and her ex will open gifts as if they are still together.
Tomorrow we will be opening gifts with the same woman and her new boyfriend.
