He produced last season under Reid as a receiver. No one has been able to replace that production yet, that has to mean something.

Dude, not trying to give you shit just to do it... but he was NOOOT a possession guy, even if he had decent hands.

He was too small and too slow to make up for that stature, corners and safeties ROUTINELY gobbled him up, you need a little bit of size to be a true possession receiver.

Wow. Post #1 and we've already got the bullshit "hands receiver" cliche going. That didn't take long.

Why the hell not sign him. He knows the offense and Avery is most likely done for the year.

He's a 5 game stop gap that probably won't contribute much, if at all.

Nothing really to be excited about here.

Can't really fix roster problems at this point of the season.

Im just curious if this move tells us something about the health of Avery.

Yea I don't see a downside.

I do wish we had drafted a WR in the 1st round.

100% this. I don't know much about Avant. But if he can get a bit of separation in the 5 to 15 yard range and catch the ball... could be a big pick up for the Chiefs. We need another guy on offense that is a viable option. Doesn't need to be a big name WR, just someone solid.

Is Avant that guy? I don't know... I just know that we don't have it on the team now, and Avant is at least a chance at being that.

We'll see...I think Avery is going to be back. Dude cant be worse than the others...he has at least proven himself an NFL WR.
