You all have no idea how frustrating comments like, "the mods need to do _____" are... Or "If the mods would do their jobs."
Shit like that is so goddamned annoying. Whenever, and I mean WHENEVER we do anything like ban someone for a completely legit reason, we always talk about it in our forum first. However, we also always get shit from the same five or six members about doing so. They even go so far as to post about it on FB.
They call us Modzi's and this current group is about as lax as any have ever been. Sure, I'll be the first to admit that every now and then we get stupid and encourage severe butthurt but in my 3 years as a mod here, every serious decision about taking true disciplinary action has always been overly discussed.
I think one of the only somewhat controversial decision I've made since becoming a mod was to bring Hootie back and that's worked out well.
Shit, he and I were always at odds the last go-round, now we BS all the time and he's a completely different poster.
If people want us to start banning members just because they find them annoying and they're too lazy to use the ignore function, we might as well make this the Mane or an Orioles board.
