This something that needs to be addressed in the off-season, we have to pick-up a legit hitter who can go yard at almost any at-bat. Moose was "supposed" to be that guy I thought. I don't think he ever will be either. Knowing he was taken No.1 and Bum went like 17 makes me just sick.

And he needs to own that in two ways, this is 2014, and these are pro athletes... He needs to start working with a hitting coach and listening in not resisting (all of them do!). Then he needs to hire a personal dietitian and hit the weight room. He doesn't need to put on too much bulk, he just needs to work the right muscle groups. And it won't end after the break, he needs to live that new lifestyle. It's difficult in baseball, but he's a Pro...

Steamer projections like Moose and Hoz and expect them to have good years in 2015 and I suspect most scouts do too. I'd bet they've turned the corner this postseason from being guys who think they can succeed....to expecting it

We were quite lucky to have few injuries past 2 years. Partially a function of being young and cheap, but we will have to find an OF and a starter

I agree with you. Not saying it can't happen but when you have been "Mr.All World California Baseball" in high school with a padded ego it's tough to change that. He really needed D1 college ball to hone his hitting skills. D1 ball has been viewed as the real minor leagues for quite awhile now and why those who play in D1 spend very little time and hit the show fairly quickly from the minors. Right now I see him like the character in "Trouble with the Curve" unfortunately. I hope it changes 'but' he will be mediocre at best IMO.
