I know others may have had luck, but I'll never buy a Line 6 product again. I spent nearly $700 on my Spider III in 2008; had to move to an apartment nearly immediately after. Amp sat in a closet during that time, then we moved to the house we're in now. a month ago (after 3 years in this particular closet) I re-strung the Tele, and the amp was AFU. apparently very common errors on the LCD screen etc. it turns on, but multiple guitars, and multiple cables, yielded no sound. I asked a local guy I've gone to for years about it, and he referred me to another local guy who does amp repairs. as soon as I said the words "Spider III" he interrupted me and told me what problem I was experiencing. I guess it was / is very common, and needs the board replaced. after the part (assuming that's what the issue is) replacement and labor to do so, I'm going to be out $250 (estimated by the guy). F that.
new amp, sat in a closet for nearly 6 years.....and it doesn't fire right up. POS. never should've gotten rid of my Marshall.

I teamed mine up with a Marshall DSL15C amp with a Big Muff pedal (Russian version). Sounds great even without the pedal but I like that Doomy sound (Electric Wizard type of thing). |

My team.
The pick caddy is gone. It was a gift so I felt compelled to have it on there for a bit. |

But yeah, light yet still had a thick sound, super easy to play and the stock humbuckers are a great value. |

Thats a beaut, and if he's looking to spend 7-800 it leaves a bunch of money left over for an amp.

Pair that SG with this Marshall for $150 and you've got left over coin for a pedal. All set!

Yeah. I figured I was the poor bastard that got burned on the deal. I loved it when it worked it. Great bang form the buck. Effects etc.
