He looked much better in the other suit. He was already jacked without having it airbrushed. Unless he was unable to get where he was all pumped again??? That just looks like shit to me.

It's not exactly the same, but in similar vein. Take a look at color stills of some of Hitchcock's sets and bizarre colors, and then how they worked out in the his B&W films. In color it looks like a trippy scene out of Willy Wonka. He was meticulous about knowing how something filmed would appear in B&W. Point being, how something catches the naked eye is not going to end up on film the same.

I like the character, but typical Superman plot goes:
Clark over-internalizes and finds ways to be a pussy. Tensions rise as a criminal element or evil entity makes themselves known... Antagonist summarily exclaims, Ah ha! I have temporarily weakened the otherwise invincible Superman Superman is in a perilous situation, or Louis / episodic character or group of focus is in danger. A change in circumstance or external factor frees Superman or restores his health. Battle ensues and order is restored as the bad guy is able to flee with about the same rate of success as Dr. Claw. Rinse & repeat.

How does it turn, with those huge metal bars around the front tires?
