Chiefs Trade G Rishaw Johnson to Buccaneers for S Kelcie McCray
http://nfltraderumors.co/chiefs-trad...kelcie-mccray/
Buccaneers HC Lovie Smith announced Thursday that they have traded S Kelcie McCray to the Chiefs in return for G Rishaw Johnson, per the Pewter Report. Johnson, 25, signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of California University of Pennsylvania. he was reportedly competing with rookie Zach Fulton for the Chiefs right guard position. There is no question the Buccaneers could use some extra depth at guard, which appears to be one of their biggest issues on their current roster. Last edited by TLO; 08-21-2014 at 01:08 PM.. |

Something no one really wants to talk about is that all these great vet players we have, maybe if they played to the level consistently we feel or rate them as, this wouldn't be a problem? |

The better solution is that you can structure Houson, Smith, Berry and whomever you want on a contract that doesn't hit big in year 1. So you'd still have lots of room to add more players. |

Clark hired people who wanted to build through the draft. That was very clear to me from the beginning. Reid's all star team cost him his job and he learned from that. Everything about the hiring of Reid and Dorsey point to building through the draft.
I agree that Dorsey screwed up with Bowe but Fasano and Smith were good signings that helped us get to the playoffs. Those guys are good, solid vets. People have funny expectations imo. You have to have guys like them. Not everyone can be a badass and those guys really fit the system. |

Tell that to Dorsey. He's the one who thinks 8-8 was an appropriate benchmark.

There is a reason why Dorsey & Hunt went after the veteran head coach with a history of winning and dealing with tragedy and a veteran QB who was himself no stranger to adversity, was part of a major turn around, and was one of the winningest QBs since 2011. The franchise needed and wanted a successful 2013 season, which Smith and Reid delivered. If we were rebuilding, Hali, Alex Smith, Fasano, Sean Smith, and Bowe wouldn't be here. No way they would have been willing to trade 2 2nd round picks for Alex Smith if they thought we couldn't win with just a few tweaks in the current roster. |

Doesn't mean it was a smart decision at the time, nor is it a smart decision in retrospect. Right now I'd swallow glass for a goddamn playoff win, and as close as we were last season to that goal, you can't possibly tell me that Dorsey said, "This team is capable of doing exactly that" when he started. |

This place would meltdown if Bowe walked. This place would meltdown if Geno was their first round pick and had the shit season he had. Dorsey and Reid are doing shit the right way. We went from 2 wins to being a decent free safety away from our first playoff win in decades. We have a solid core. We arent rebuilding.
The only person to blame for the situation were in is Scott Pioli for being the utter fail at drafting piece of shit he is. He set this team back years. |

I can. Being more familiar scheme wise on both sides will help the team. The only true downgrade for me is the oline. Pass rush got better, secondary got better at least at safety. Corner a little worse.

Having hali, and houston healthy and adding dee Ford. Getting rid of Lewis immediately makes the secondary better. Imo
