Game of Thrones *Spoiler* Thread
There's been some recent confusion with the old spoiler thread, so I'm kicking off a new one for tonight's premiere. This is going to be the one for folks who've read all the books. So anything anybody might want to talk about is in bounds. Suffice to say, if you haven't read the books, you'll probably want to stay out of here until you do...
I'll bump the old spoiler-free thread shortly in case anybody's interested. For future reference the link to that one is here |

Based on the previews, it looks like we are getting into the wedding for sure. But it is tough to say if we will get all the way through the reception or just the beginning of it.

That was defintley that scene where the Hound gets his soon to be fatal injury. Looks to be a departure from the books due to the chemistry of the two. Bet its Bonn training Jamie too because of the actor. We may not see the complete break of Bronn from Tywin either.

Anyone else think they have kinda pussified Arya? She didn't kill anyone at the castle when they escaped like she did in the book. And I thought she was a much more active player in the fight in the tavern with the Hound. I know in the book it was the Tickler and not this other guy but I thought they were all fighting the Hound not paying any attention to her and she killed a couple of them mid battle. Not standing in a corner till they are all half dead and then kill them. Maybe I remember it wrong.

Is that something a delirious, fevered, dying man would talk about on his deathbed? I don't know about that... Really think there's a good chance we see The Hound as the Champion of the Faith and Strong as the Champion for Cersei.

http://towerofthehand.com/blog/2010/...he_/index.html I am hoping the Hound will fight for the church against his zombie headless brother in Cersei's trial by battle. That would be badass! |

Every time Arya gets a little more mature I let out a little fanboy squee.

To absolutely nobody's surprise, it's been renewed for two more years (seasons 5 and 6).

Yes, and the brother who found him and tells Brienne "the Hound is dead" also tells Brienne a story about how he himself died in the battle of the trident when Rhaegar was killed by Robert, and he started his new life as a brother. So he clearly can think of death as metaphorical, and that's why he wasn't lying when he said the "Hound" is dead, even though he did not mean that Sandor Clegane is dead.
Further evidence is that in that same chapter Brienne also sees a very large man who is a new recruit for their order and has his face covered, but walks with a limp (hound was cut in his leg and almost died from it), and happens to pet a dog as Brienne is passing him. She doesn't put it together that it is Sandor, but he is surely still alive. |

Yep. That essay I linked above provides all the relevant direct quotes from the books, it's a good read on the fate of the Hound... and on the fate of his brother the Mountain.
