This is what happens when you have a QB who plays well. Alex Smith keeps playing like he did last year, then I wouldn't be mad about paying him at all.

It's the going rate for QB's in this day and age.

We were the ONLY team in the NFL willing to offer 2 picks...that means we DOUBLED the players market value.

That's the ****ing DEFINITION of getting fleeced.

I didn't realize that its ok to LITERALLY get NOTHING from an entire draft class.

Especially one where you have the top pick.

We hopefully got a 6-7 year high caliber franchise qb out of the deal, that's the hope at least.

If they had kept Alex Smith, they would have needed to cut a couple guys because they were over the cap.

They needed to trade him.

Up to this point, what did we get or have we gotten out of that class? Knife Davis had a few good plays when he could hold on to the football and got better I guess.


Our top overall pick was benched for our playoff game, we cut 1 draft pick during training camp, catapano played like 40 some snaps all year, 2 picks were on IR.

WR turned CB from Rutgers. Made big plays, one of the best rookies last year and essentially won us games.
