NOTHING.

BUT THAT BOUGHT THE GM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT.
I didn't realize all these guys were supposed to come in and set the world on fire their rookie years.

This is what happens when you have a QB who plays well. Alex Smith keeps playing like he did last year, then I wouldn't be mad about paying him at all.

It's the going rate for QB's in this day and age.
Anyone with common sense knows you don't have a clue.

We were the ONLY team in the NFL willing to offer 2 picks...that means we DOUBLED the players market value.

That's the ****ing DEFINITION of getting fleeced.

I didn't realize that its ok to LITERALLY get NOTHING from an entire draft class.

Especially one where you have the top pick.

But, yeah...que the true fan gif...I'm sure your proud to be in it somewhere.

We hopefully got a 6-7 year high caliber franchise qb out of the deal, that's the hope at least.

But, at the time, we overpayed

Just because no other team was willing to give a seCond pick, (which I can't confirm is true) doesn't mean the niners would let him go without the second. They took a big risk with No real backup for Kap last year. And many are taking about a closing window in SF as well . And since they are barely paying Kap anything to play, (still under rookie contact, Smith's contract was very affordable).

TJ Ward, Emmanuel Sanders and Evan Deitrich Smith were the 3 best value signings in free agency.

If they had kept Alex Smith, they would have needed to cut a couple guys because they were over the cap.

They needed to trade him.

If you want confirmation, go to Adam Schefters twitter feed from back then...he is as reliable as anyone in the industry.

It was reported that they were going to release him if he wasn't traded.

Up to this point, what did we get or have we gotten out of that class? Knife Davis had a few good plays when he could hold on to the football and got better I guess.

Our top overall pick was benched for our playoff game, we cut 1 draft pick during training camp, catapano played like 40 some snaps all year, 2 picks were on IR.

Ok...we got a few plays from Knile Davis where he fumbled before getting injured and we got to see Eric Fisher get routinely destroyed.

What did I miss?....besides injuries...

Do yourself a favor and go watch the NFC Championship game again. Did you watch it?

Now go watch Alex Smith in our playoff game.

Now sit here and tell me that they have the better QB. I'll wait

WR turned CB from Rutgers. Made big plays, one of the best rookies last year and essentially won us games.

Might have heard of him before.

So our best rookie was someone we picked off waivers who was drafted by another team and released and I'm supposed to think what about our draft class?
