It doesn't matter what people say. Last year was a rookie season for these guys. We're going to have a very good idea just how good they will be this year.
I'm anxious to see what Fisher and Catapano will look like after a real offseason of hitting the gym, as well as being told to put on weight/muscle.

Ward is an enforcer and is very good in coverage...I'm sure PFF will support that claim. My best friend is a big Browns fan and every time the Chiefs go to commercial, I flip back to the Browns game. Why do you think Denver was so aggressive in signing guys like Ward and Sanders? |

You can tell there were no real QBs in this last draft after one year, but you just have to give our guys in red and gold another chance because they're the real deal for sure!

How is DOUBLING ANY OTHER OFFER NOT GETTING FLEECED? Tats just the start of it...just wait till the contract details come out about what Alex Smith got for an extension. His agent is Tom Condon. Go look up what he got for his clients in recent yars. Matt Stafford Tony Romo Matt Ryan Jay Cutler I mean, jay Cutler got 126 million...do you think Alex Smith is gonna get LESS? |

If he plays like colts playoff game Alex smith 14 times per year, I wouldn't give a damn about the contract. Ain't my money and the cap is skyrocketing.

We got NOTHING from our whole draft class. A draft class we had top picks in every other round and the second pick in every other round.
NOTHING. BUT THAT BOUGHT THE GM THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT. |

5.75 per year. Only a 3.2 cap number in year 1. I'd be happy as shit if we got him and it kinda pisses me off that Denver got 2 of the 3 guys that used to be in my sig as FA wants that actually hit the open market. Sanders and Ward. |

You want to talk about teams getting fleeced on QB trades? How about Chitown giving up TWO first-round picks and a third? How about Oakland trading a first round pick and conditional second for Palmer? This is what happens when you have a QB who plays well. Alex Smith keeps playing like he did last year, then I wouldn't be mad about paying him at all. It's the going rate for QB's in this day and age.

That is a lot of money to play one of the only positions where we actually have a good player in place (Berry). Paying these kind of guys to play roles like 3-safety coverages is exactly what we should be avoiding. He is a Strong Safety. He might play some Free, but that's not what he's built for.

There's a difference in having no negotiating leeway, and straight up overplaying your hand.
