Was told yesterday that the Chiefs will have big interest in Red Bryant. He would replace Jackson in base package and might even cause Dontari to move out of the nose and into Jackson's spot.

Red Bryant - DL - Free Agent
Seahawks released LE Red Bryant.
The move clears $5.5 million in cap space, and along with the release of Sidney Rice frees up $12.8 million for the Super Bowl champions. FOX Sports' Alex Marvez reported GM John Schneider was planning to put some of the money toward re-signing free agent DE Michael Bennett. Bryant saw his career resurrected under coach Pete Carroll, but was called on for only 488 snaps in 2013. Bryant is stout as a run stopper, but offers nothing as a pass rusher. He was expendable for a team with Seattle's defensive line depth. There's a good chance Bryant finds a new home before the start of free agency on March 11. The Patriots are expected to pursue him.
