What grounds do you get? I think that is the most important part.

Reviving an old thread.
I've cleaned up sugar out of my diet and am bringing cold brew back into my life for caffeine. Because I need caffeine. Anyway, I made it with Black Rifle Murdered Out and it's not the right blend for cold brew. I was using Dunkin before I think. I thought I'd put it out and see what you guys are running for your cold brew. |

I now have a cold brew pitcher at work. It's a plastic pouring container with a reusable filter built into the lid, attached underneath so the grounds hang in the coffee. I'll make up a pitcher as I come in to work on the first day and it's ready by the next - takes 12 to 24 hours to brew. I find it smoother, stronger, easier on my stomach, and very refreshing. I've been using Death Wish coffee and I drink it black.

Guess I missed this thread the first time around.
The Navy got me started on coffee many years ago and I would drink at least a pot in the morning if not two or three. A little over three years ago, I switched to decaf and it has leveled out my day. I don't have that "balls to the wall" feeling in the morning anymore and then the afternoon crash like I used to. More recently, the last few months, I only drink a couple cups of decaf hot in the morning with breakfast, then drink the rest of the pot throughout the day over ice. It is delicious and better than Iced tea. |

Do you have a Harris Teeter close by ? They actually have EXCELLENT coffee beans for cheap. This stuff makes an excellent cold brew.

I buy Chameleon cold brew... it apparently has a lot of caffeine, something like 65mg/oz, so I drink a couple shots of it with a couple shots of milk. A few years ago it was one of the few that didn't add a ton of sugar, even though there are more options now.

You should take a look at cold brew if you have acid reflux. Cold brewing it lowers the acidity. |

Since I retired, no signs of acid reflux though. |
