Cricket runs off the ATT towers so if you get ATT you will get reception with Cricket as well. Other than one bad night when the Cricket service went down, I have had nothing but good luck with them.

Ever since the companies stopped doing biyearly free upgrades, it's been quite a racket. Data should go the way of minutes and texts soon: basically free.

Buehler is really interested in not losing LTE coverage while looking at porn.

Phone companies suck. They screw you either way you go.
I'm still using a 3s. |

I've got T-Mobile prepay. $4O a month unlimited talk, text, it's somewhere around 3 to 5 gb of 4g data and unlimited 3g after that. If I want more 4g data I can buy it at any time. I pay the bill online just like I would with any other phone company. I think they even have one plan that comes w/ 1gb of 4g data and unlimited 3g after that that is $3O a month. I bought my own phone. Still using my perfect condition Galaxy 3. I'll probably upgrade the phone before too long but so far, about the only benefit I can see by upgrading is a bigger screen.
I haven't found a deal yet with any of the companies that would make me want to sign a contract for an overpriced phone, expensive limited data and rising monthly charges. The thing I like the most is if I'm not happy with my service for any reason at all I can drop them like an under thrown Alex Smith pass and go somewhere else.

Every phone company lets you buy your phone outright, or the old way split out 24 months.
Only thing that changed is the faux change like European service. They dropped the price barely, took away deals to balance it and won't increase coverages and throttle on most plans. |

Buehler you can still do the two year contract pricing on phones and get the 16 gig plan for that rate.
If you do the installment option it would only be a couple more dollars a month depending on the phone you want and your upfront cost is essentially zero. |

For example if you buy an iPhone 7 32GB it's $27 a month, plus the $20 line charge that's $47 total and the only thing you pay upfront is the $20 upgrade fee and taxes. At least in California you have to pay tax on the full retail price. Also the 8GB plan is $20 a month cheaper but there's a promo right now where if you upgrade on DPP you get 2 bonus gigs per line. So that's 12 GBs for the price of 8 |
