I wouldn't be angry if we re-signed Sean Smith, depending on the contract details of course. He's long, has solid technique, and doesn't rely too heavily on measurables (which is important given the fact that he's approaching 30).

I just don't think that we'd be able to sign him to a "team-friendly" deal after the way he's played these past couple of seasons. Byron Maxwell and Jimmy Smith just got deals averaging north of $10m per year. He's at least as good as those guys...

No way would I pay Sean Smith 9/10 per going into his thirties. Let some other team overpay that. We got his good years for a great price.

I hope we can resign him too but wonder what he is asking for.

That's the way I feel. We got, most likely, his best few seasons for around $5m per. He's been an absolute steal thus far. I think it'd be smart to let another team overpay for him...

BUT.. I was taking a look at some of the other recent CB contracts. Antonio Cromartie, Chris Harris Jr. and Cris Culliver just got deals averaging around $8m per. I'm not sure how in the blue **** Culliver managed that but if Sean Smith were to accept an offer in that ball park, would you keep him around?
