IMO he’ll have some success moving around and getting outside the pocket. But teams will decide not to overpersue and make him throw from the pocket and he’ll struggle. You know better than that. Teams are chalk full of flaming ****ing idiots. One of those flaming ducking idiots will convince other flaming ****ing idiots to take him in the first round. |

I walked by Kyler prior to a basketball game a while back and he conservatively came up to my nose.

Its too dismissive of all of the success that the guy has had up to this point to assume that he's going to fail now just because he's 5'10". On the contrary I think he could actually be pretty good in the NFL if he's able to stay healthy. Height obviously matters for QB's, but it matters less and less as teams go with more shotgun sets and spread offense., With his particular skillset, coaches are going to have no problem getting him out of the pocket into situations where he can either pass or run. He has the chance to be really dangerous in that kind of offense.
Durability is obviously going to be a concern for him, but durability isn't always related to size. If you put Sammy Watkins and Tyreek Hill next to each other, who would you assume is more injury prone? There are obviously more factors at work when it comes to susceptibility to injury than just size. Sometimes actually the big guys like Gronk take more punishment because other plays can more easily square up on them and deliver a big hit. He should send a portion of his first check to Russell Wilson though, as the fact that Wilson is successful in the league already is going to raise this Murray's draft stock by an entire round on its own. Coaches love to copy others, because then if the pick blows up in their faces they can at least say "Hey, we thought he was the next Russell Wilson." Its a subtle way to shift the blame onto someone else. |

Not if he goes to a division rival. I’ll be stoked.

He's too little. There has to be a limit and he is under it.

This is a tough call. He's 5-10 at best. If he can use his mobility like Mahomes to buy time to throw he has a chance. If he uses his mobility like RG3, same result as RG3.
How strong is his arm? |

I think you guys are missing the point because you keep looking at his height.
The NFL is setup now more than ever to protect the QB, and you need a QB who can deliver on the unscheduled stuff. Yes height matters, but There are some great examples recently why it isn’t the end all be all. You need someone who can make plays, this kid can. He also has experience in Kliffs system.

How much extra “protection” from the refs did Mahomes get? ZERO! Didn’t benefit from a single new QB protection rule all season (minus the one time he got low blowed like ‘08 Brady) (Still, it’s possible he gets the Brees/Wilson short guy treatment from the refs) |

After thinking about this, I'm still struggling to understand why I should care.
