That IS the difference. Mahomes gives you a chance no matter the down and distance, no matter the situation.

We no longer have to expect a draw or a screen on 3rd and 15.

We can finally look forward to play D's with poor secondaries. Unlike under Alex, in which he was never able to capitalize on that.

I definitely think he’s capable, but I just don’t see Reid putting him in a position to do so.

I dunno what I would put the over / under at but lets just say Mahomes breaks the chiefs TD record and gets like 32 TD

then 20 INT wouldnt be all that surprising to me

especially if like 12 of them come in the 1st 6-7 games and 8 come in the last 9-10 games and he is progressing

Good point. I do expect a lot of short plays and game managing on behalf of Reid.

Come to think of it, I could totally see Reid pulling a 180 and leaning HEAVILY on the run while we’re all begging him to go pass happy.

I think Reid’s offense (initially) with Pat will be much different than we’re thinking.

Having the former QB we have had has conditioned Chiefs fans to believe that turning the ball over is the worst thing that a QB can do.

If Mahomes leads an elite offense in terms of measurable production, throwing picks here and there will not kill us.

Yep. The game manager history has made picks seem like a much bigger negative to KC fans than they really are, so long as the TDs and explosive plays are climbing.

Has Mahome thrown for 3 picks in 1 game? He had 10 total for his entire last year in college while leading in every passing category.

I am not sure where this "Mahomes just throws it up for grabs" narrative is coming from.

If Andy thought he was a turnover machine do you think we would have drafted him?

I think you may well be right, seems unlikely we're rummaging through all of these backs just for giggles

Andy will dial up some bombs, but Pat will be throwing plenty of screens and making plenty of handoffs to that crew, and thats fine by me... protect the kid, help him pick his spots
